Terms of use

Last updated: August 3, 2026
The short version: the screener gives educational estimates, not guarantees, and Resbit is not your lawyer, financial advisor, or doctor. Joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Resbit is a prototype built by one family — we'll always be honest with you about both of those facts.

What the screener is

The free eligibility screener is an educational tool. It compares what you tell it against published program rules and rates to estimate what your family might qualify for. Real eligibility is decided by the agencies that run each program, based on details and documentation a ten-question screener cannot see. An estimate here — including a "not yet" — is a starting point for a conversation, not a determination, a promise, or advice.

What Resbit is not

Resbit does not provide legal, financial, or medical advice, and nothing on this site should be treated as any of those. For decisions with legal or financial consequences — Medicaid planning, VA claims strategy, anything touching the house — talk to a qualified professional. Free accredited help exists and we will always point you to it: your county Veterans Service Officer for VA claims, your Area Agency on Aging (eldercare.acl.gov) for aging programs, and your state Medicaid office. Never pay anyone a percentage of a benefit for help filing.

The waitlist and updates

Joining the waitlist or subscribing to updates is free and creates no obligation on your part — it just tells us you want to hear from us. It also creates no obligation on ours beyond honesty: Resbit is onboarding a small first group of families, and we can't promise when a spot opens. The paid service, when you're offered it and choose it, is $49 a month flat, cancel anytime; its specific terms come with the signup, not this page.

Prototype status

Resbit is an early product, provided "as is." We work hard to keep every program fact on this site current and sourced, and we correct errors when we find them — but program rules change without notice, and we can't guarantee the site is error-free or always available. To the fullest extent the law allows, Resbit and its founder aren't liable for decisions made in reliance on the site's educational content. That's not us dodging responsibility for our work; it's us being clear that benefit decisions belong to the agencies, and your decisions belong to you.

Fair use of the site

Don't scrape the site to resell caregiver leads, misrepresent our estimates as official determinations, or use the site to break the law. That's the whole list.
